"because MSi Afterburner does not play nicely with 780 Ti's unless the 780 Ti is made by MSi itself the maker of AB doesn't regard the 780 Ti as a "reference / official" card, and as such it won't play nicely" The same story explained by EVGA fanboys. So much knowledge, lol: So unlock it yourself if you can or use your vendor's native voltage control software for that. Technically it is possible to hack AB databases and unlock it for other cards, practically I won't discuss it neither here nor in PM. On the rest cards where warranty is covered by NVIDIA or other graphics card manufacturer, NVIDIA enforce 1.212V as the limit. That's NVIDIA's restriction for their partners and MSI provide extended voltage control on Fermi / Kepler ONLY for their own custom design Lighning/Hawk cards with custom power control circuit and where GPU overvoltage warranty is covered by MSI. It was repeated a lot of times that Afterburner's voltage control on reference design or other vendor's non-reference NVIDIA Fermi and Kepler cards is and always WILL BE limited by NVIDIA's safety ranges (up to 1.212V only).
